Born in Sarasota, raised on Anna Maria Island, and currently based in St Petersburg - Joey has been shooting since 2014 around the Tampa Bay Area.

FIlm was the catalyst of his visual arts career; during a film elective, he had hands-on experience in capturing photos through a physical medium while developing rolls and prints in his high school’s darkroom. Officially taking the plunge into photography in 2016, he started covering events in the community which eventually morphed into his business, Joey Monetti Creative. Over the years, his speciality narrowed to focus on people and commercial projects, most notably including weddings, portraits, and commercial styled shoots. Work has brought him as far as Colorado and Georgia while the bulk of his projects are based in Florida. Working as an man in his 20s, he has his eyes set on expanding his brand into more editorial style work as well as experimental, fun collaborations with the creative community surrounding him.

When not at work, you’ll find him diving into films (drama, horror, and period pieces are favorites) catching up with friends over glasses of wine, or getting lost in books on history and politics, art theory, and social sciences.
